10 Months Old

Another month flew by before our eyes.  Owen is 2 months away from his first birthday.  This month it was impossible to keep him seated in the chair.  I usually take about 20 shots and choose my favorite.  I took 3, and two of them were blurry because he doesn’t sit. still. ever.

An out-take while being naughty…

  1. He is so cute! I can’t believe that he’s already 10 months old. How did that happen???

my boy.

After doing a post of Abby last week –  I decided that it had to follow with a post of Owen.
He’s 9 months… for a couple more days.  These were all taken on our front lawn, right before mowing day, so the grass was nice and high.  You can see that Daddy came home from work at the very end- which made Owen so excited.

My wild, dare devil son.  His current interests are dog bowls, chewing on dirt, eating everything, shaking his head ‘no’ and biting his sister.
My dear boy and I used to cuddle for hours.  These days I’m lucky if I get 30 seconds… :’(

my girl.

Here’s my girl.  I was so happy to get these shots because eye contact is extremely hard to come by these days.

It’s amazing that she is so much like me - independent, stubborn, easily frustrated, and the kindest heart a momma could ask for…

This beautiful couple was married just this fall… and this summer will bring a beautiful new little one! I can’t wait to meet their sweet baby and find out if the bundle is a boy or girl. :)

Claire

Claire turned 3!  I met her last year, at this session here, and chased her around while I was pregnant with little man… and it was crazy how much she had changed.  She looked like a baby last year and now she looks like a kid.  She was talkative and much more interested in me this year.  I spent an afternoon viewing the world through Claire’s eye – while chatting with her mom on the sidelines :) I got to witness, first hand, her beautiful ballet moves and her love of sticks.   I will be meeting her younger brother in a couple of months and I’m so excited!

What is Above Your Couch?

Included, with your session fee, are my very own customized Wall Displays.  I love guiding clients and helping them figure out what works best for their homes.  Since it is nearly impossible to know how a display will look, and I want my clients to be 100% happy with their purchase, I create Wall Displays using an actual wall from their home and images from the session.  I either take a picture during the session or clients send me pictures of their wall or walls.

I posted this session of Nathan a few days ago.  His parents knew they wanted something about a particular couch – but were unsure of which size would work (and also if they wanted a frame or a canvas).  The shots below are a living room shot they sent me from their cellphone- no fancy camera needed!  I created a few different options, while showing sizes that I recommend.   For above a couch I recommend single prints and canvases be at least size 16×20.

16×20 Print- Framed and Matted

16×24 Canvas

20×30 Canvas

20×30 Print Framed and Matted

3 Canvases – 24×30, 10×15, 12×15

After completing the wall displays for clients I am almost always surprised that I would recommend something different than I would have suggested before seeing the shots on the wall.

Have you ever purchased something for a wall and it was completely different than you imagined once you got it hung?  Comment and tell me about it!

I love my wall display that I purchased from you about 2 years ago. It took me about a year to find the perfect frames but I love it. I did a 16 x 20 matted frame, a 11 x 14 matted frame, and two 5 x7 frames. It turned out great!

Thanks for your comment Jenn! I like smaller sizes when you do collages like that! 16×20 frame for an 11×14 is a great choice too – the mat helps protect the picture over time and it really helps draw your eye in. Hope you are doing well! Your session is still one of my favorites. The car was just too cool :-)
