While I photograph children and family of all ages, my specialty, is toddlers. I love taking the time to chat with a toddler and seeing the world through their brand new eyes. Something as little as a stick can excite them beyond measure. They don’t smile on command for me, they also do not understand “picture taking”. This helps me to see them, and to get real genuine smiles as I ham it up behind the camera just for them.
Another reason clients seek me out is for my wall display’s. After your proofs are posted I send you an email with some example wall displays using my favorite images from your session. These images can be swapped for your favorite images as well. Wall displays are customized for each session- based on the number of children in the session and the area of your home you wish to hang your portraits. If I have come to your home, I use an image of a wall, in your home, in which you are planning to use your portraits, or you can send me an image if we do an outdoor shoot. I show you, right on your very own wall, what these images would look like and can help you in tweaking accordingly while you view these changes every step of the way.
You know your child, you love your family, and I create images that help you remember these moments. In 10 years you will look back and read the story in that image and smile, cry, or just be overtaken with warm feelings of how life ‘used to be’.
